So, I figure it is 1872...do you have any preference as to when in 1872? I figure it takes 2 weeks for the letters to get back and forth (maybe 1 week if they catch the trains right).

For reference, Oro Valley is about 30 miles north of Tucson proper located in the foothills of the Catalina mountains.

okay. Thanks for the info. I don't have a preference really. Doesn't much matter.

When do you want them to decide to get married and for emma to go to arizona?

I figure in the next couple of letters. I think having them correspond for at least 6 months is probably a good thing. (So about 6 letters each.)

I have been thinking about what it is that is "wrong" with Franklin and I've come up with a couple of options. Would you like to hear them or would you rather be surprised?

I have been looking up information about engagement rings to make sure they were a thing in this time period and I found that while diamonds were desired, they were not all that common. Most people had pearls or other stones. (though this was the time that Diamonds were ramping up into being the big thing in engagement rings)

I love learning about little tid bits like that.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a silver six pence in your shoe.
