Putting together the lost pieces of The Zodiac Program

Hey guys! I've summoned those from the old rp I can still get in contact with, but all I'm asking really is for people to throw down as much as they can remember about the game. Even if it was just information about their character. I am filled with so much regret about deleting the game, and I want to try and revamp it sometime in the future.

So here is where I, and various members of the original cast will look back on this foggy memory.

So for the people out of the loop, que es eso?

Alright, so I have to basically try and tag everyone who was in the game so they can meet up here and we can maybe recall any information we can about it. But CGM, basically there was a roleplay I ran a while back, and it went on for some time, and even came close to finishing through the whole plot. I want to try and jog as many memories about the game and write them down as soon as I can and maybe try to revamp it in the future.

The story was called The Zodiac Program. The hook was basically, 12 teens were accepted to study at a private academy that would cater to their every need. It was basically a free ticket to success, and better yet the academy was located on a beautiful island so it was basically a free vacation. Somehow, these kids believed the unbelievable and found themselves being flown out in private jets. But from the moment they stepped on the island, certain things hinted toward something a little off beat.

The main NPC characters that I played were... the director of the school... who's name I can't remember. A very serious, stoic man. The head coordinator, and main instructor of the school Abigail, his wife - a friendly and seemingly genuine woman with a good heart. And the directors brother... a very strange man who I absolutely loved playing.

EVERYTHING WAS PURGED. It was so stupid, I thought I was polluting the website with unfished roleplays so I deleted all of them. And when the creator deletes them everyone's characters go poof. And I didn't warn anyone so nobody was even able to make copies of their characters. Absolutely tragic.

Summer break couldn't come fast enough for the ginger. After a long year of school (pointless school), he needed the vacation. What they learned was far too bizarre to even repeat. In fact, if it wasn't for his father, the ginger and his friends might have been forever stuck at that godforsaken island. It was a little harsh sounding, but Levi knew it was just his father's way of encouraging him to follow his heart. It might have also been his father's way of saying that he approved of Vivian, something he never thought he would hear from his father's lips.

With a joyous look of bliss and glee on his face, Levi let his hands grip the cool, black leather steering wheel. Dad must like her if he's letting me use his corvette, he thought to himself. Key in the ignition and hand on the gear shaft, he backed the chair down the winding driving and up to the main gate. Giving the guard a thumb's up, the large, cast iron gate swung open, allowing Levin to roll on down into town.

Being for different parts of the world, the two somehow found one another after two months of separation. His father had been offered a huge promotion in a Massachusetts firm and took the job immediately upon the offer. Granted, it's not like it was a huge move as they were rooted in NYC. Still, a move was a move. From one top-floor penthouse to a mansion to another mansion was quite fun. He actually really liked the new home. He dubbed it his 'home away from home' as his father kept the land in NYC as well as his office. Why? On the off change he wanted a change of pace. Or to rekindle that love affair that he liked to lie about. The ginger in the office with the blue eyes, he wanted her. Badly.

Putting his father's resources to good use, Levi had kept tabs on Viv's whereabouts. It was very stalker-like, which was why it was Finnian's idea rather than Levin's but his friend never steered him wrong before so Levi was okay with the idea. As he looked at the blinking green dot on his phone, he tried to find the heart-shaped object as well as the yellow triangle (Finny). To his luck, Viv's shape appeared on his radar first and, to his delight, she was nearby.

Car in the parking lot, he claimed the first open spot for he didn't want to pass up the chance to park beside the dock station (the police would probably gawk at the car and keep 'er safe, or so he assumed). With a little smile cast on his face, he nodded to the officer that moved toward the car. "Nice ride," was all that exchanged before Levi took off down the boardwalk.

There, at the end of the long wooden walk was the woman he had dreamed so much about. But he couldn't just approach her empty handed. Reeling back, he made a bee-line for a smoothie shop just across the way. Ordering her favorite and getting two straws (so they could share), he flipped a man with roses a coin and took a red one up. He would present her with the flower first and then push the cool drink to her lips. Or so that was the plan.

As he approached her, the green-eyed beau felt a bit giddy. She was stunning in that suit and it was making it hard to walk straight. But he kept himself focused for he knew Finn was watching from afar - he always was.

The red peddles of the flower dangled before her nose and his soft breath kissed the back of her neck. Arms wrapping around her hips, the ginger made certain to set the smoothie down before the embrace. Nose going straight to her ear, he let his lips nibble lightly on the girl's lobes.

"Hey," was all he managed to get out.

As for what I remember? Kids stranded on the island in a large mansion. Separate gender wings. Finny was a trouble marker. Kids weren't allowed to leave. Did someone die on the beach? Idk... I could be making that up but I swore there was a beach scene. And my characters weren't there are they were spying around in the mansion.

Honestly, I don't remember much of the plot. I felt like we barely got past the intro stage but I was on and off a lot when this story happened so I probably missed out.

Oh and I remember quitting due to last minute character add ons that didn't make sense with the original story. I believe it also synced up with finals or midterms too.

Asked Duke what she remembered and she just said "some kind of boarding school where the characters were based off Zodiac personalities."

Things I remembered about the story:

It was some sort of experiment and magic was involved (I believe every character was given some sort of ability after locating a strange, off-map lab). There was an implication that the experiment had taken place before, but it failed, which is why the characters were invited because they were all suitable/better candidates.

I think we ended the story shortly after the group broke out of the lab/woke up with their strange new powers. We were just broaching the actual story when things came to a close. ):


Things I remembered about the characters:

I played Danny and Jiyul. I actually have copies of both characters saved onto a virtual drive.

Jiyul roomed with Sully, who was deaf and masquerading as a male. Danny's roommate, however, escapes me. Although, I do recall him being the cousin of one of the other characters (female).

JIYUL GEUM

DESCRIPTION
He's cute—if a bit girly.

Geum Ji-yul looks like the kind of guy who would wake up thirty minutes earlier to fix his hair (which he keeps dyed burgundy brown) and spend the night before, with a milk and honey facial mask (how else is he expected to keep his baby smooth complexion?), planning his outfits. He looks like the kind of guy who wouldn't leave home without foundation, concealer, and the whole package (even if it's just a trip to the store). And he looks like the kind of guy who would spend hours practicing expressions before a mirror (familiarizing himself with the ones that look best on camera because, let's face it, he knows he looks good). He looks, in short, vain. But, damn, does vain suit him.

PERSONALITY
He smiles frequently, laughs whenever possible, and his infectiously up-beat attitude often invites others to do the same. He's like a breath of fresh air—sharp and invigorating, revitalizing and different. He's bold and daring, curious and restless. He's always on the move—bouncing from one thing to the next, stopping for nothing and no one. He's talkative and friendly—engaging and, easily, the center of attention. But he's frivolous and rash, inconsistent and fake.

He's incredibly fake.

He's the kind of friend you want to have at a party (because he's, undoubtedly, fun), but he's not the kind of friend you want when things are tough (because he won't genuinely care about your problems). And, despite what promises he makes (easily telling people that he trusts them when he doesn't really) or what words he's sure to say (quick to always come up with what he knows they want to hear), he can't be trusted. He's a liar with a serious commitment issue. And even though it doesn't seem like it (because he's so good at pretending these days), he hides himself from others. He's desperate to keep himself separate from the rest of the world.

He hates people who pry into his personal affairs (a bit hypocritical since he loves gossip about others), but he hates it even more when people try to tie him down—bind him with things like "you're my best friend" or "I want to be with you for forever."

He's flattered, but he has about two dozen different "best friends" and he's gone out with a dozen more girls. He's not keen on "forever," but he'll act like he is if it helps him to get what he wants. And Geum Ji-yul always has to get what he wants.

Selfish and self-centered, Ji-yul is always looking out for numero uno. Even when he's trying to do the right thing, he can't help, but ask: How is this helping me? Is this helping me? It's not that he doesn't know his rights from his wrongs because he does and he knows them well. It's just a matter of how it's not always about the rights and the wrongs. Sometimes, it's just about him.

ABILITIES/EQUIPMENTS
RUNNING: Ji-yul has always been a runner. He runs for fun—going around the block just to feel the wind on his face. He runs to clear his mind—because no matter what Ji-yul says, he's easily stressed. He runs because there is nothing like the feeling of being free to go anywhere he wants, whenever he wants.

CHARISMATIC: He's charming and clever—a quick-thinker who's good with his intuition, but better with his words. Persuasive and friendly, it's not difficult to see why people are drawn to him or why people continue to trust him—giving him more second chances than he actually deserves. After all, he's a liar and, damn, liars are hard to change.

DATING: Experienced, Geum Ji-yul knows more than a few tricks to make the evening seem magical and perfect.

PEN TRICKS: He's talented with his hands and it shows during lectures. He's always playing with his pen (when he's not on his phone), but he's rarely seen taking notes. In fact, he's more often to be asleep than he is to be awake and listening.

IMAGINATIVE: When he was younger, Ji-yul would stare at buildings—fascinated with their designs and layouts. He loved the feeling of a spacious room, the sensation of a granite-smooth finish, and the brilliance of floor-to-ceiling windows. He loved architectural artworks as much as he loved industrial design (evident in the Apple products that are littered across his personal belongings). And when he applied to schools for their architectural programs, nobody was surprised. Ji-yul, who had always been a visionary with designs, was an easy pick. His work as a freshman was astounding and his style, like his person, was refreshingly unique. They were simple, but tasteful—eye-catching.

LANGUAGES: He is fluent in two languages and conversationally capable in three others. As a child, he spoke nothing, but Korean. And, as an adult, he speaks both Korean and English with relative ease and fluency. He likes learning new languages and, as the heavens would have it, he had a gift for them. In high school, due to a mandatory stature, he picked up French. For his friends, he learned Mandarin. And, just because he lived in San Diego, he grabbed a few basic Spanish words. He can't write an essay in French or understand everything his Chinese friends say. But he can converse and joke around in both languages. In Spanish, the only phrase Ji-yul knows is: Please don't eat my mangos.

HIS PHONE: He is never without it. It is like his lifeline and he, quite literally, can not go a day without it.

HISTORY
He was born June nineteen in Incheon, South Korea to two loving parents, who were delighted to call him their son. And, nineteen years later, the situation hasn't changed much.

His parents adore their only child and Ji-yul revels in their attention. He is a good son—doesn't give them any trouble. He goes to school (gets good marks), he goes to church (always helps out), and he's always respectful (at least he is to his elders). But, at the same time, it's not as if his parents don't see the things he does wrong. He's too wasteful with money. He spends too much time outside. And he's frivolity has cost him quite a few mishaps with girls. They wish he would think a little more before acting (or at least genuinely consider other people). But they can't ask for everything and, so, they're happy with what they have.

After all, they only have one son.

( PRESENTLY )

Nineteen-years-old and finally living on his own, Ji-yul went to school in the east coast (he immigrated to the United States when he was eight). He had picked a school as far from his sunny home in California as possible. But his tenure at the institution was short-lived. After only a year, the brunette withdrew and flew back home to help out at the family restaurant.

Nobody really understands why Ji-yul came back, but, at the same time, nobody cares enough to ask.

DANNY CHEVALIER

DANNY CHEVALIER • TWENTY • JULY FIFTH

PERSONALITY
INSECURE: Despite his best efforts to appear aloof and collected, Danny is anything but indifferent to his peers. He is constantly worrying about the opinions of others and is overly critical of himself. He embarrasses easily (which is often expressed in forms of violence) and often feels uncertain and lost.

HOT-HEADED: One of Danny's greatest shortcomings (and the source of many of his problems) is his incorrigible habit to jump to conclusions. Even though he's a critical individual (very analytical and perceptive), he often misreads his peers (or, in some cases, reading too much into them). Quick to pass judgments onto others (and an expert at holding grudges), Danny can be a little narrow-minded (he also suffers from mild tunnel vision). Still, despite this particular failure, Danny has good intentions and, honestly, he does mean well.

INEXPRESSIVE: When it comes to Danny, misunderstandings are bound to happen. He's not great at communicating with others (often getting tongue-tied or frustratingly "blank" at critical times) and frequently feels isolated from the rest of society. And because Danny finds it difficult to share his vulnerabilities with others, he often keeps his thoughts and feelings bottled inside.

EMOTIONAL: He cries during Disney movies (although he would never—not in this lifetime—admit to it). And he finds comfort in sappy romantic comedies. He's, to a point, a romantic and, regardless of his brusque exterior, a soft-hearted soul. He's a gentle lover—readily willing to shower the one he loves with attention and adoration. When it comes to affection, Danny could be every girl's dream guy. Too bad for them, Danny's looking for his prince too.

LOYAL: Danny is damningly loyal to the people closest to him—willing to do anything to preserve their relationship. In terms of friendship, Danny is a great candidate. He's supportive (even though it might be a little like tough-love) and a great listener. In terms of a more intimate relationship, Danny is a total pushover (despite his seemingly aggressive exterior). He's devoted to the relationship—always willing to give his everything for its success. Even if his partners hurt him (which they're apt to do), he readily forgives them (a total 180 difference from his regular disposition). He wants to fall deeply and truly in love. And he wants to be loved in return.

PRIVATE: Surprisingly enough, Danny is a very, very private person. He keeps important things close to his heart (because he doesn't want to burden his loved ones with his problems), but, at the same time, expects people to know what pains he's suffering from. Also, something worth noting, even though Danny craves companionship, he also needs his time alone. Without it, Danny is prone to explosive temperaments.

ABILITIES/EQUIPMENTS
ANIMALS: Danny is great with animals—able to spend copious amount of time playing with them. But, because of extenuating circumstances, he has never been able to own one (although he would love to have a dog one day).

SWIMMING: He used to be on his high school's swim team, but, since graduating, he hasn't swam competitively. He doesn't really miss it (swimming wasn't a passion of his), but he often does laps to clear his mind or when he's having a particularly nasty day.

COOKING: Surprise, surprise! Danny is an excellent chef. Cooking is the one of a few things that Danny takes great pride in. He loves making food for others (really enjoys seeing people light up at delicious cuisines) and, at times, dreams of going to culinary school. He would love to, one day, own his own restaurant—if possible.

HIS MEMORY: In this respect, Danny is like an elephant—he forgets almost nothing (and forgives even less). He's acutely aware of others—so he's usually quick to pick up on the little things.

SLEEPING: This boy can sleep through anything. Someone can be having wild sex next to him and he'll still be dead to the world.

HISTORY
CHILDHOOD: He was eight when he lost both his parents and, ever since the accident, Danny's been terrified of cars. He refuses to drive one and hesitates (becoming overly anxious) when riding in one. After their death, Danny spent several months being shuffled from one family to the next. Everyone felt sorry for him, but nobody wanted the financial burden of raising another child. He was Angela's son—he wasn't their son.

And Danny, who understood their position, never once blamed any of them for their brutal treatment. He was an outsider—a parasite imposing on their limited generosity.

He was nine when his aunt decided to take him in—giving him a permanent home. And even though she and her husband never showered him with love, he was thankful. He was grateful for their kindness, but the wall that kept them separate was insurmountable. They were awkward around him and he, without realizing it, kept them out.

EIGHTEEN-TWENTY: After high school, Danny moved out. He shared a place (a 2LDK) with an older, career-chasing businessman. Between school and a job, Danny barely had any time to sleep, but, determined to be self-reliant, he endured. During his two years alone, Danny experienced the stress of payment, the struggle of a student, and the joy of being loved.

PRESENTLY: Two months earlier, Danny moved back in with his aunt and uncle. He doesn't talk about his time away and, for the most part, his relatives have avoided the topic.

INTERESTING FACT:

1). Danny has never once called his aunt, "mom," or his uncle, "dad." Similarly, he has never referred to his cousin as anything, but his cousin—despite having been raised like brother and sister.

2). He aspires to become a doctor and has always worked hard towards this goal.

Wait?! There were powers?! I don't remember this. You're doing way better than me on this story recall memory thing. XD

I might be misremembering though... lol.

But I have this vague memory of writing a post where everyone was in a lab, but the lab (for a reason I can't recall) was in ruins. Some of the characters weren't conscious yet and the conscious ones tried to bring them to safety. I think a91nicole played the daughter of the headmaster (or his brother), who had been experimented on, but failed to produce the desired results.

I think Gemini (Jiyul) had either mimic or duplication abilities. I can't speak for anyone else as the powers were at the tail end of the whole thing and hadn't been played out very much. I do remember Jiyul and Sully looking at the sunset and Jiyul trying to be deep, but, obviously, failing to do so, lol. Or maybe it was with Danny?? Either way, they were both, likely, to fail at being deep, lol.

You know, this lab room is sounding familiar. How much you wanna bet my characters were in denial about the whole thing? XD Sounds like the two of them to think it all a joke or a scene in a movie.

The twist to the whole thing was that The Director was this researcher who specialized in ancient artifacts. One of them being this tome that went on about harnessing the zodiacs, exposing them to a special birthstone, and then sacrificing them all to become on all powerful being. There were 12 zodiacs that were invited to the academy, but we created a 13th sign for a91nicole, who played the very fucked up daughter of The Director and Abigail.

Each zodiac ended up indeed having a power, but yeah I can't remind them too well.

I played sully, the Scorpio. Who was Jiyul's roomie. He was actually a she, and was deaf and bad at social interaction. Awhh and Utopia played Temperance, Sully's love interest.

I remember the lab, that was revealed along with the plot twist. Everyone was in these individual tanks, and they were all being fused with their birthstone (activating their powers), and I forget exactly what happened but I killed off all orphaned or abandoned characters in this scene with an explosion.

I don't remember, but I do remember Jiyul getting decked, lol.

Oh my, yes, the word was "tanks." I omitted that description because I couldn't, for the life of me, remember what those things were called and kept saying: life-sized test-tubes.

I'm great with English, guys, lol.



Also, I remember there being a ghost... I don't think that was part of the story, but a happy occurrence... lol. I think the person roomed with one of Xav's characters, lol.

I actually remember quite a bit of the rp. XD The names I'm not sure. Due to, being so long.
But the doctor/brother was infatuated with my girl. XD
The lab was in ruins due to an explosion of some characters not accepting their abilities.(as chi said)
And, the abilities were given by some stones which were lodged into their bodies.
There was a sort of disarray as people were not trusting the teachers, Sully was sort of looked at oddly and ruined the trust of a few due to the fact that she was a girl.
