Sharkcat's Zanny Australian Tour - extended.... [Update!]

Hello hello!

Ideally the next Announcement in here would have been a new update - or at least the usual Monday announcement of the new weekly featured rpgs after I was safely at home, curled up in my room and sulking about leaving my best friend and new friends back in Australia.


But, funny thing that... You see, I managed to pick up a nasty bit of something. The whole trip, everyone was joking about the whole, "Welcome to Australia, you might accidentally get killed!" thing. I didn't manage to get killed, but I'm sick enough my airline wouldn't have let me on the plane. D:


So - instead of flying home as originally intended in about 10 hours, I actually don't know when I'll be headed home. xD;; I am not able to leave until I get well enough to travel so it may be a few days or it could be longer. D:


I'm posting this mostly so you'll know why I'll continue to go sporadic days without popping online at all, or only popping online briefly and not saying much and not being able to harass the big boy monsters (the other admin types) into fixing things like I normally would be able to.


I'm afraid this also means that the Featured RPGs announcement will be put off another week. :c I've got a load of awesome games to look into (I may have been lurking in OOC threads as per my usual sharkcat habits, but haven't read the actual game information yet) and I'd really like to get a good variety for the next Featured RPGs announcement, so I need the time to catch up - which I won't have since I'll be going to my friend's mother's house in order to get seen to by a doctor and looked after by a mum since my mom is on the other side of the world. xD;


Sorry that my unusual absence and overwhelming lurkitude period has been extended and without even a ballpark figure of when I'll be returning home. D:

Good luck on getting better soon! I'm sure the fort shall hold in your absence! At least we shall do our best in holding it aloft so you can you get the much needed rest to feeling better. XD

Just keep on being awesome and that should be a big help for me. xD Just you guys being active on the site makes it more welcoming to people who come check us out for the first time. And greeting them if they make a Welcome Center thread helps even more. xD And those are the things I can't do as quickly/much as I'd like at the moment. xD

Oh wow! I've got to say I'd be pretty freaked out if I was stranded in Australia! Luckily you have friends there so it won't exactly be a pain. I do hope you end up feeling better soon, not just for the sake of the site but because being that sick for that long doesn't sound good at all!

I'm mending, so I'm looking to be home around this time next week. :)

Update!

Returning home soon. :) My prescribed medicine has all been taken and the airlines said the earliest I could fly home was August the 30th, so that's when I'll be returning. :)


That should mean I'll be back into semi-usual operations on August 31st or September 1st, depending on how jetlagged I end up being. :3
