I shook my head. "You can't." I answered and I closed my eyes, taking deep relaxing breaths.
I nodded and headed downstairs, going out on the back porch and sitting on the steps. I wanted to remember. I wanted to heal all this pain that everyone was in... But I couldn't.
I slowly fell asleep like that after a while, curled up in a ball, tear stains still on my cheeks.
I roamed the house and are some food, checking in on her every now and again. There was no tv, and I hadn't much to do. So I just sat and thought. Tried to remember, prayed for peace...
I woke up in the middle of the night, groaning in pain. My stomach hurt. I wanted my pills. I got up and looked for anything, but I had given it all to Amy.
I found her in the hall and gently placed a hand on her back,"Come on... let's go get some water, you're probably dehydrated..."
I nodded mutely and I followed her to the kitchen. I got a glass of water and I drank it, leaning against the counter. "Thanks.."
I nodded and rubbed her back, the sleep still in my eyes,"You need food, at least a little, get some nutrition before you get too sick.."
I sighed and nodded. "Okay.." I ate a poptart and I thanked her again. "Go get some rest hun.."
"I will, let's get you back to bedI said softly, walking back upstairs with her slowly. I was going to take care of her.. I had to.
Once at my door, I hugged her gently, closing my eyes. "Goodnight." I whispered.
"Goodnight,"I said softly before going to my own room, leaving the door open so I could hear her.
(Going to sleep, Nuh night!)
((Goodnight!))
I went and laid down and after a very long while, I finally fell asleep in the cold lonely bed.
In the morning I got up and made breakfast, but some eggs and toast. The knocked on her door very lightly, not to wake her if she was asleep.
I opened my eyes, feeling groggy and tired. "Come in.." I said, sitting up.
I walked in and sat at the foot of her bed,"Here, eat, it's just toast and eggs..."
"Thank you." I whispered. I ate silently, then after i smiled at her. "Thank you."
"You're welcome,"I said with a smile, setting her plates on her nightstand. I felt her forehead, she wasn't warm yet, so that was good.
I closed my eyes at her gentle touch. It felt good. I smiled slightly and looked into her eyes.
I smiled back at her and looked her over,"How are you feeling?"
I shrugged. "A little shitty, but I'll be fine." I answered, looking down.
"What can I do for you?"I asked, placing my hand on hers.
I looked down at our hands, then I looked up at her. I smiled. "You've already done a lot for me sweetheart."
"Well, I'll be here for awhile,"I said, giving her hand a soft squeeze before rising up.
I watched as she walked out and i went and took a shower. I then went outside to smoke a cigarette and it reminded me of the bar.
I followed her and smiled,"I would kill for one of those, now..."
I smiled at her and handed her one. "No need to do that." I teased.
I handed it back,"Pregnant, remember?"
"Oh yeah. Right." I said, putting it behind my ear.
I chuckled,"I miss alcohol and cigarettes,"I said with a smile, leaning against the porch rail,"But I've got to take care o this kid..."
