Entering the hotel, Violet took a moment to take in the grandeur of the building's décor before continuing her trek to the lobby while admiring the way the chandelier reflected the light on the walls and floors, a small smile on her lips.
Finally arriving to the Lobby, Violet approached the hotel's counter and checked in the hotel with a polite smile.
"I would like to check in for my reservation, please. It's in the name of Monroe." She said, preferring to keep the conversation short as the flight took all day and, with her new-found jet lag she wanted nothing more than crash in her bed.
A bellboy and a few minutes later she was finally in her suite.
The man seems to be more cautious of her as if he could read her mind and find out that most of what she said is untrue. Lilith continues her act.
"Ah yes, I don't always win, but I do run a very successful.." She thinks for a brief moment, "..uh..hotel." It wasn't the best business she could have come up with, but she already said it so might as well go with the lie. "It's a luxurious, five star hotel. My father gave me ownership when he died. I'm here to meet with a potential partner that will help with expansion. " Lilith chugged down the rest of her iced tea as she is finished with her steak.
"Well, it was a nice night. I hope to see you around again." Lilith smiles, trying to look as friendly as possible.
Hakiru smiles slightly for the first time this dinner.
"My name is Hakiru. I shall hope to see you around as well. As for now, I will retire to my room. I have an early morning planned."
Hakiru stands up, and exits the restaurant, heading straight back to his suite.
"Yes, yes! He's my brother." With a large grin on her face, she giggled before spinning around in a circle. "He could probably be your big brother, too!"
She was a little too young to grasp the idea that a legit brother was someone born into your family with the same blood as you. But did it matter? No, in her fictional world, a brother was someone who played with you and stood up for you. Sammy seemed like the ideal guy for that roll. Why she was certain that Sammy could easily be a big brother to all! Wouldn't that be swell? Granted, she didn't realize that having him be a brother to all meant she would be a sister to all but she was still just a child whose mind was still naive and innocent.
Hands now on her hips, Pips puffed out her cheeks. "I wish I had a twin! It would be so cool." Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of the sand castle Sammy was building. Eyes going wide with joy, she squeed before bouncing toward the twins.
"The palace is nearly complete! Would you two like to be princesses with me?" eyes shimmering, she clasped her hands together and begged that they join her. Together they could rule the sand!
Midori’s laughed darkly. “Then I wish you well my dear.” The vampire could sense there was something different about this woman. She wasn’t human, of that she was sure. Catching the coin the raven haired woman called out, “You’re welcome.” Once the silver haired woman was gone she relaxed a bit, slouching in her chair. Her narrowed eyes were fixed on the crystal ball that rested in the middle of the table before her. She still had an unsettling feeling about the events that took place while she was giving the fortune.
The raven haired woman considered summoning one of her shinigami to look into the matter of the dark presence she felt and that took control of her for a few moments. While debating this the silver haired woman reappeared in the tent. It was clear to her that something had happened of the woman had sensed something as well. “That should not be a problem,” she told her in a silky voice.
Leaning forward she focused on the crystal ball, chanting softly. It was no use, the ball was telling her nothing even though it glowed softly as it had before. A thick mist covered the visions within the crystal ball and the vampire was unable to see anything. Then just as quickly as the ball had started glowing it just stopped. “Something is really wrong. There is a thick fog covering the images so that I can’t tell what is going to happen.” By this point the girl’s eyes had narrowed more and seemed to be changing color.
Frustrated Midori pulled out her personal deck of tarot cards. Maybe they could tell them something about what was to happen. Quickly she spread the cards out before her on the table and began to read them. All they told her was nonsense or jumbled. The only thing they told her for sure was that death lingered in the future. Her hands slammed on the table as she rose to her feet. “The cards just tell me gibberish.” The vampire’s eyes were glowed a soft crimson. The raven haired woman was getting frustrated and hated the feeling she had in her bones.
It would be cool to have a brother... Selena thought about it, although she knew that he couldn't acctually be her brother since they weren't related.
Having a twin isn't always that exciting. Especially because you have to share your birthday. Siera smiled and laughed a bit. So you want us to princesses with you? She looked over at Selena and they both nodded.
Okay! They said together.
Chiyoko's left ear pricked up in instinct as they moved away from the door. Ah... men's bathroom. Standing outside wouldn't seem suspicious, any passerby’s would assume I'm waiting on someone. She took a sip of her champagne, and focused her eyes on a poker table, all the while listening to the conversation.
As the conversation turned from sweaty men to glasses, Chi was interested to learn that glasses wouldn't help, in her words. Was she blind then? The woman moved remarkably well for being blind. There might be more to it than that... And if she was blind, how would she know how to tie a tie? The logic here was beyond her.
"There, it's tied, can I go now?" Chi eavesdropped. She hesitated before moving away from the door, in the opposite direction they had come from. She leaned on a wall again, feeling its material rub on her neck and back. She half closed her eyes and lowered her head, as to raise a 'Do Not Disturb' sign to others. So… she (Kyna) was blind, but could maneuver better than your average blind person. She has no cane, or helping dog, to help her around. And she was in the casino, of all places. She could have just wandered in, of course, and it would just be a coincidence. But Chi was not allowed to believe in coincidence. Then there was the man. He was… interesting. The look of malice, the ass grab, the mention of theft. It could be an act. Overall, it was still too soon to make judgments.
She laughed lightly. “Well you can’t blame a girl for trying.” Truthfully she was kind of sad that he wouldn’t take her offer. She would have at least liked to hear the star sing whether she was playing or not. A fake smile was on her face as she watched him perform his signature move. She wasn’t about to be blackmailed, but maybe she should have played a long a little bit. It was too late now.
“Thank you for the kind offer, but I’m not sure it would be a wise idea. After all you’re famous and I’m a no body. Besides I don’t need a ton of girls bothering me because I was seen with you.” Tabitha spoke truthfully. She had faced her fair share of bullying while in school and would rather avoid such things. Turning down his offer was the wise idea even though she was starving.
Instead of watching him walk away she knelt and opened the violin case to take out the delicate instrument inside. She inspected it to see if it was damaged from earlier and luckily it hadn’t been. Lifting the instrument to her chin she lightly pulled the bow across the strings. It seemed to still be in tune. A soft smile crossed her face as she rose with her violin. “I wish you luck with saving your career Sebastian.”
Her eyes closed as she began to play. As the girl on the stage played her slim body swayed. Her playing was a send off of sorts. It was her way of saying there were no hard feelings about his attempt to blackmail her. Not that is seemed he cared. Figuring the male was gone by now she started to dance a little while she played. It was hard, but it was harder not to move around to the sound of the music or at least sing along. She never looked to see if the man had gone on his way.
She continued to play a few other songs before stopping. Carefully she placed the violin back into its black case. A small grin was on her lips as she looked about the empty room. It was a beautiful auditorium and one of the nicest she had even been in. While on her trip she would make good use of this place when others weren’t around. Quietly she took a few steps forward and started to sing one of her favorite songs.

The end finally came. It was horrid and unexpected, but the fall of mankind was inevitable. Too much had happened with not enough to repair the damage done to Mother Nature and her Earth. The mighty wrath smite all those that dare defy her. Only those of true and lucky origins were able to escape it. Only what was once nine fell down to the hands of just two.
He should have died for her, but his beloved Ana cast aside her own grips on life so that he, Ryker, could spend more time with the woman he loved, the beautiful Masuyo. Broken and lost, Ryker's body fell numb and he was left in Masuyo's more than capable hands. As if by miracle, she escaped just by the threads of her shirt. She fled. She hid. And she protected.
Now, weeks later, Ryker has finally let his upset subside as he realizes the truth of the matter. There were others and those others needed their help. Turning his stubborn, cracked gaze onto his beautiful partner, they decided to set out and finish their mission.
It was now time that they prove the world that love, against all odds of beasts and hell, can conquer all and bring forth an era of peace and light.
The last thing he could remember was touching the two wires together. For what? Well, he was trying to give Vex the wedding she always wanted. It wasn't overly complicated. In fact, it was pretty simple. Sycom, being the kind of guy to know tech-tricks did successfully string up lights that created an Aurora Borealis illusion. The ceiling of the room where they were to exchange rings was alive with the flickering lights of the polar caps.
Blues, purples, greens, and pinks danced across the ceiling, creating the perfect mood. Sycom, donning himself in a tux of navy blue with gold buttons gazed happily over to his wife-to-be. She was simply lovely in her gown. There was nothing about this moment that wasn't perfect. Sure, they were alone, just the two of them, but that didn't matter. At least not now. If all succeeded and they survived the next task of life, they would have a second wedding and invite friends and family. Until then, the private wedding was the best idea. It was the safest, too.
Rose peddles of purple and pale pink were scattered down the aisle and a trusted friend of Sycom's stood at the podium just to the side of an archway. The arch was decorated with roses and lace, Vex's doing.
Even though the wedding was private, they still wanted it nice. There was no way they would let the magic of the moment not be filled with shimmering lights, the scent of roses, and a dash of lace.
He stood there, right under the arch as he waited for Vex to emerge from behind the Japanese-style wall they had setup. She would have to do her own makeup and dressing, but it wasn't anything the woman couldn't handle. As he waited for her to step into his view so he could feast his eyes on her gown and glowing smile, he held his breath. He was beyond nervous to the point where he was wringing his hands. Heart all a fluttered, he sucked in a long breath of air.
Finally, she emerged.
Instantly, his stomach filled with butterflies and a large, handsome grin spread onto his face. Smoothing his shivering hands on his chest, he crossed them before himself and patiently waited for her to stroll down the aisle with her bouquet of roses and baby's breath.
As she stepped up to him, Sycom grinned again. "You're beautiful he whispered to her."
Moments after, the priest began speaking. The vows were given and the rings were exchanged. Vex even received her proper engagement ring. It was exactly what she had always wanted, which was shocking as Sycom guessed when he went ring shopping.
Kissing her passionately, there was no waiting for the honeymoon step. The friend exited the room, he knew what was coming next. Everything about the moment was fleeing and needed to be done soon -- at least before they were interrupted.
"The dress is lovely but," a devilish grin appeared on his face. Lust lingered in his eyes as he kissed her neck and trailed down to her breasts. With his lips busy lining her with kisses, his hands were untying her dress and maneuvering so she could strip him off his clothes.
... And that was all he could remember. There was no sex. Though this saddened him, Sycom was more shocked by what had happened. His hand reached back to dim the lights and, in doing so, a large portal appeared behind them. It sucked them in and pulled them from their positions. A swirl of colors swallowed them and, when they finally came to, they were lying in the grass.
"Eh?" Sycom sat up holding his head. "What just happened?" Looking around, a forest surrounded them and strange birds sat and stared at them. Never before had he seen these birds. They were exotic and rare. A part of him wanted to chase after them, but that stopped the second one of them spit up fire.
Eyes wide, he rolled Vex out of harm's way. "Since when can birds breath fire," he exclaimed.
