I snuggled close to him and traced soft circles on his chest distractedly, as I stared up at the ceiling.
"Run away with me,"I whispered softly into her wet hair.
I looked up at him, surprised. Did I just hear him correctly? "What?"
"I have to leave at the end of the year... I want you to come with,"I said quietly.
I frowned and furrowed my eyebrows. "..... Jerimiah..." I sat up and looked down at him. "I... Don't know.. Where would we go?"
"Honey, it's okay.. I'm sorry..."I sat up,"I was just thinking out loud..."
I sighed and wrapped my arms around my knees, resting my chin on my knees. "Why do you have to leave?" I asked.
"I graduate... I won't be a student anymore,"I said, kissing her shoulder as I rubbed her back.
I sighed and looked down. "I still have a year left after this...."
"I know... I'll get a job in that town we went to... Come visit,"I whispered softly, trying to comfort her.
I looked up at him, then I slowly hugged him. ".... Yeah.."
"We still have six months,"I whispered softly, kissing her neck slowly.
I nodded. "Yeah... I know." I mumbled. It wouldn't be the same without him.. The school would be short of a really good hit man. He really is good... Because he managed to win my heart.
"Smile for me?"I asked quietly into her ear as my arms looped around her tightly.
I sighed and attempted a small one. I managed it, but it wasn't very real. I can't imagine being here without him. He's been here since day 1.
"Cat..."I whispered softly. How could I be so stupid? To bring this up? I gave her a warm squeeze and kissed her head.
I sighed and laid back, looking up at him.
I hovered over her, kissing her neck softly. I didn't know what to say. What could I say?
I closed my eyes and ran my fingers through his soft hair. "I love you." I whispered.
I felt my stomach tighten and a smile move over my lips,"And I love you, Cat..."
I leaned up and kissed him lovingly, my hands gently running up and down his smooth back.
"Sleep, sweet pea,"I whispered softly, my hand rubbing her side.
I sighed and nodded. "Yeah, okay...." I turned on my side and closed my eyes.
I spooned against her, my arm over her hip and my chest to her back, closing my eyes.
I slowly closed my eyes, and fell asleep, safe, but still very sad.
I fell asleep with ease, holding her close and safe. When morning came we were the same way and I kissed her shoulder.
I opened my arms and turned in his arms. "I don't wanna go to classes..." I mumbled.
"Then... We won't,"I said playfully, grinning at her
"Good." I said with a chuckle, looking up into his warm eyes.
I leaned in and kissed her slowly, sweetly.
