I want to create a Roleplaying game.

It would be about any memorable person from any time period coming together on a massive island. The Island would have many mythical creatures on it. Dinosaurs, Giants, Ogres, Orcs. Any mythological and fantasy creatures you could think of is probably on this island. Obvious since everyone would be from different eras they would have memory of how they got here. They don't exactly wash up though. They just wake up in a straw hut somewhere in the island.

Ideas are wanted! This is just a rough idea right now.

Is this island going to just be a place that formed itself over time or is this some kind of land that has been manufactured to inhabit these creatures and is there some higher power putting these characters there for some purpose?

Which option do you think would make the roleplay more solid?

Well if you went With Manufactured then you'd have to have Science involved with how everyone got there if you are going With Mythical creatures I'd imagine it'd have to be with out help of human hands, unless they also created the Creatures on the island.

It always makes it more sinister and exciting if everyone is playing in a world designed by some third party, for thrills they watch them fight to survive?

I might be interested in this as long as there are not Giant Polar bears and Black mists that Spirit me away.
