Whaaat, I don't think a bodyguard makes a good Emperor, but okay. xD And if there's not a prince ending why is it called Prince Maker? :P But lol, so sorry you got caught releasing your son from jail (?) XD I would've been pissed too if one event ruined it for me. Why did that ending have a sexy graphic though, I wonder. XDD

Haha, ah, I don't know what's with coffee over there (or over here). Most people I ask from the US are all into tea because as children they were given tea. XD Here we all drink milk coffee since we're young, so I guess we're just used to it. Granted, the stronger coffees are an acquired taste (I can't stand it without sugar unless it's damn GOOD coffee lol), but everyone still has it. (That and "Mate" is Our Thing XD).
There's a coffee style you might enjoy too- here we call it 'teardrop' (instead of coffee with a drop of milk, it's milk with a drop of coffee xD- I can't stand it because for some reason pure hot milk makes my stomach cry lol but a lot of people drink it).
    Mocha-stuff is good though. X)

Re the spoiler. Ah, I see.... I think. xD But yes, one can't judge an author on their writing (or subject of it).

Yeah, most the books I've read from LeGuin so far are like that with the sci-fi. I don't know if she has any 'harder' sci-fi stuff, but the ones I read were really relaxed about that aspect, and were still considered sci-fi.

You should definitely start with the original movie. In my (biased) opinion the coolness of the series decayed more or less with further installments. So, Original Movie > SG-1 series > Atlantis > Don't bother with anything else, imho. xD (And the only reason I liked atlantis was because I liked the bad guys loool - oh, and the looks of Mr. Muscly. xD)

XD Well, *I* didn't expect the why for the zombies, so maybe? X) I mean- surely, certainly, yes. But then again I was paying a bit less mind to the why and a bit more mind to the rest of the story and totally pinning for a pairing so... <_<

Oh, I meant to ask, are the notification emails working properly? I thought a few times I missed a couple notifications, but after I 'came back' to the forum they seemed to arrive normally. So I was all confuzzled on whether I missed it in a sea of spam or what. <_<

XDD You big cheat! :P and lol I think not having him work is a great idea when you're cheating, I'd be curious to know how that ends up (I bet he'd be a prince then or something, XD or maybe just a regular old bum).
Ah, I didn't know they had specials on BigFish, though I don't really visit often enough to notice anyway, so huh. Interesting to know though.

Hahahaha, I grew up in a coffee-driven house. I love it- so long as it has 2 big sugar spoonfuls and at least 3/4 of milk xDDD Sadly, I'm fairly sure most tech things are kind of terminally outdated now within the year. <_< They do it on purpose of course. I bet they have all versions ready and only delay it not to iron it out, but to have you buy the one that will be old next month. ;P

Ah! How does Lackey get to co-author, I wonder. And don't worry, I rarely find myself spoiled (Hello, I'm Tahiel, I love cheating in computer/console games and being utterly spoiled for books/movies <_<; ). But yes, I'll definitely put them up there on my list to give them a try, though unless I get a physical copy it might take me a while to get to them.

I really enjoy LeGuin, her sci-fi stuff is very fantasy-ish (or you could say it's mostly fantasy with a bit of a vague mention to space ships / space travel, in the ones I read XD). Her fantasy stuff are also very fantasy, though in some books (The first Earthsea one comes to mind) she does a lot more telling like a storyteller than showing like a writer. But I found in my opinion, it worked for her.
Card I like- I read a few short stories of his and then read the longer books made off those short stories (Ender, Songmaster... ). Frankly, I should've stuck to the short stories, even if I was curious to see the whole of the story and how it ended for the characters. xD That isn't to say I didn't enjoy, say, the two Ender books I read (Songmaster I was rather disappointed with the last half), but the short story I liked much more.

    What's daunting about Stargate? XD
You should start by watching the original movies (All the other movies based off the tv series suck, imho- tho the series are quite entertaining for a tv show, except the very last spin off; I've always said people over there never know when to finish a series -or comic book series- before it gets stupid).
Then again, I can't be really impartial about Stargate. I have a crush in at least one character on each of the series/movies and watch it at least partly because of that. lol

loool, I'm sorry I ruined it for you? <_< There's really little else that hasn't been done, I think. XD And I agree that you should read it first. X) I'm sure it's quite different from what you had in mind anyway! XD But now I'm curious about your novel too haha. 8D

Haha, why you let your kid become stressed? I think my main problem with Princess Maker was that I wanted to keep her in good morale while having her study which didn't leave a lot to earn money (and why was I earning money making my kid work again? XD) And despite making her work, when she badly needed holidays (or a trip t the city) I ended up being poor/unable to afford it. T_T
I was such a bad mommy. xD But cheat codes solve everything! (Read: He'll surely still run away XD) And I'm happy it's such an easy code too lol.
Ah, pay games, that's why I don't know them. :P (or also because it's been long since I've looked for games lol).

lol by the time you can afford it it'll probably be outdated (and you'll be wanting that new one that makes you coffee, anyway ). That's The Way Of Technology.

So, Piers Anthony. Hmm, must search my digital collection. Fairly sure I have some, just not sure if -those-.
I heard good-ish things about Starship Troopers. Most Sci-fi currently on my shelf is LeGuin (sci-fantasy, really), Scott Card and a Stargate book. (Forever in love with Ra <_<) I think that's about it. I'll give Piers a try though. Thanks~
I'll have to look up Petaybee series too, now I'm curious on how it weirded you out. xD

Yes, parodies (tend to be) fun!

    Have you read the Clockwork Century series by Cherie Priest? (Boneshaker is the first). It's steampunk + zombies, I totally loved it. <_< It had the perfect amount of action, romance, and horror for my taste. I want to add the collection to my shelves <___<;;

I have such a hard time picking a game each week. I think I'm just overly critical.

I basically have Thursday claimed for myself, unofficially.

Thanks, it doesn't let me do it myself. I'll get around to featuring a game here later today. ^__^' Figured I should get MAPS! off the list, it had its week! XD

Can you un-feature MAPS! for me.

Yes yes, I noticed the fanness. X) lol you still seem to have better luck than I did with my princess though. *waves fist at her* I kept wanting her to marry the butler guy but nooo, she was too good for him. <_<*
And lol, I will most definitely not make his birthday mine. Who wants another april child running around? They're all crazies. :P
Ohhh, cheat code for money! I like cheat codes for money (and godmode 8D). I have zero qualms about using cheats and walkthroughs too. XD But how I miss that most games now don't have cheat codes like that anymore. Good old times, when you could press up, down, up, down, left, left, right, left, select, select, start and you were invincible... *dreamy sigh*

Anyway, I'm gonna have to install it. >: 3 And I'll let you know, but given my track record, and unless it's easier than the original series, you can expect he'll end up a runaway or something lol

Hmm, that is one very interesting HD, I had no idea those existed. Pfft, and only $400, I'll get five! XD But auto-backups and repair sound awesome. Oh, if only there was a cheat code in life to have money coming out of your ears...

Re: Sci-fi, I see. Though if you were a hard sci-fi kind of person then you'd probably really care about the science, so it'd be kind of pointless to ask. Maybe? I don't know, it might be worth polling the world. :P I like Star Trek (not so much Star Wars, I mean, the only reason I liked the original 3 was because I like Harrison Ford XD I'd probably never watch them if he wasn't in them).
lol at geysers example. I'm thinking SDMIA needs a garden like this. And hey, a geyser that spits space fuel sounds pretty awesome: "Hey, you, crewmate, yeah you, go stand over that squidgy point there so we can fuel up."
Now you'll need to give me sci-fantasy recommendations on books, 'cause you seem to read some weird ones. ;P

Asjjhasdasd Prince maker? prince makerrrrrrr?? Like in... the Princess Maker series... ? I can't see PB albums/images from my netbook agh, I'll have to switch comps later to find out and download it. xDDDD Oh, how many hours I scoured the internet for the versions... xD

(actually like an hour later lol <_<)
It IS! ohhhhh I loved those series of games! But I always got the shitty endings. xD (why, I don't know; my daughter kept running away, becoming a whore or a nun... or died. ¬¬* extremist much? But mostly she ran away <_< said I was too strict pfft What's wrong with me wanting her to have a good education and manners? XD Is it my fault an in-gameday is like 10 minutes long so it feels like she's doing too much? XD)
Thanks for the share, much much appreciated. XD

Ahem, back to the HD stuff, yeah, I feel the same way- even though I'm well aware that just the one copy on an external HD is really not that safe considering even that can die too and then you'd be left with no copies... <_< but somehow it feels safer. Maybe because it's not plugged in and working all the time?

Random question of the day: What do you think makes a good sci-fi book/story? (As in, do you think the technology aspect is important? Would it bother you terribly if it had such weird science explanations that it threw you off completely? Or do you even care about the actual science of it?)
I'm currently reading a sci-fi book (hence the question occurring to me) and was thinking back on all those people that go all up in arms when the science isn't accurate in their sci-fi. xD

Haha, I've gone through so many computers now. Most were bought by parents, but my last was bought by my ex (hah) and my netbook I bought myself (I always had to settle for clearance items myself though, but as soon as I get a job I'm getting some kickass gamer computer! XD Okay, maybe not so much, but a new one for sure xDDD I want either a cool laptop or an all-in-one I don't care about disk space- I rather get an external drive for storing stuff.)

Hehehe, my dad's computer has always had more problems than mine, even though mine is always kinda meh. lol on your mom's laptop and avast. I still have good old AVG but I want to change for avast since AVG sucks now (you seriously can't even disable it from the tray context menu anymore, which sucks when you need to disable it for a more thorough cleansing because you have to crash it). I've just been lazy. That said, my dad's computer is still better that my aunt's and uncle's. XD I always have to clean it when I go visit.

I guess we're horrible with the following up, eh? X)

I think the movie ratings do have to move with the way they're consumed/viewed. I'm not sure it can be said it's -entirely- different, maybe just the rating concept. Like, being more critical with books because the average reader puts a lot more thought into that act than the average movie goer?
Think of it like the average moviegoer watching Matrix = "Cool action film" (rates enjoyment, not details) vs. the hardcore fan viewing Matrix = "The intricacies of philosophy, the world as we view it, and the number 42." (rates enjoyment and details).
The average reader, perhaps, is always rating details?
